With Melissa Walker, LPC, CST, R-DMT
Beginning around 42-45 years old, perimenopause impacts everything from digestion, to sleep, to temperature modulation, to cognitive function, and yes, sexuality!
Unfortunately, this life transition has been cast as a disease or a problem to cover up and muscle through. The research is minimal and many primary care physicians and therapists are misinformed.
With so many confusing symptoms and a lack of informed support, perimenopausal people end up feeling helpless and frustrated. As a result, so many of us miss the opportunity to invite the gifts of this transition to inform our personal and relationship growth and transformation of sexual expression.
Now, recent research and a renewed focus on perimenopause as a normal and deeply meaningful time has given us useful information to approach it feeling empowered!
Whether you are on your way to perimenopause, are in the hot middle of it, or have already walked this path, this group is meant to be informative and insightful as you look forward with hope or look back with a deeper sense of understanding and meaning.
Together, we will discuss the latest science on this major life/body/heart gateway into the 2nd half of life and how it applies to embodiment and sexual intimacy.
We will gather resources, practice skills, uncover personal gems, and use this time as the opportunity to learn how to rewire old patterns and improve intimacy with your own body and the body of an intimate partner.

What our participants are saying!
The flow of information in this course was incredibly helpful—everything was presented in a logical and engaging way, and it all landed really well.
The pacing felt just right, and I left feeling both affirmed in what I already knew and eager to learn more.
I would absolutely love to attend a longer workshop in the future! The facilitator created an inclusive, welcoming space and thoughtfully shared their own lived experience, making the discussion even more meaningful.
I truly appreciate the space that was made for these important conversations.
I loved this training. It was very insightful, inclusive and filled in gaps in my understanding that I didn't even know I had!
I was really impressed by the way you used language to include diverse relationship structures, bodies, and various aspects of queerness without making it super contrived- felt so effortless, which I find really challenging to do.
